The primary attraction, perhaps unsurprisingly, was Ms. Podles. The instant her throaty, androgynous tone gushed forth, the only question that remained was what took so long to get her back on the Met stage. During a performance in which little spark could be detected in the audience, Ms. Podles’s only rivals for affection were Letizia Giuliani and Angel Corella, the lithe, beautiful dancers reprising their work in Mr. Wheeldon’s "Dance of the Hours."
